Faith Lutheran Church

Christ’s Love, Our Calling

Women of Faith

All women who attend Faith Lutheran Church, whether year-round or seasonal residents, are members of Women of Faith/LWML. That means that all women are welcome and invited to attend our monthly meetings, held the second Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m., in the Discipleship Room, unless otherwise noted.  LWML—Lutheran Women’s Missionary League—is an organization to which the WOF belongs. Lutheran missions around the world are supported through our monthly mite collections and from our fundraisers. We also attend Fall and Spring rallies of the Naples/Ft. Myers Zone, the statewide convention of the FL/GA District, and the National Convention. We invite you to find your niche in our organization. We base our service on the following Scripture verse:

“Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God”   1 Corinthians 10:37

KITCHEN USAGE

For your ease in using the kitchen, a kitchen checklist has been posted on the warming oven door and a dishwasher checklist has been posted above the dishwasher. If the wording is not clear to you please contact one of the officers of the WOF/LWML so this can be corrected. For our safety, make sure that the coffee machine warmer knobs and the machine are turned off when you clean up.

If you are a user of the oven, please note the following: PREHEAT THE OVEN TO THE TEMPERATURE THAT YOU NEED, NOT TO THE HIGHEST TEMPERATURE.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR

KITCHEN CLEANUP

Monthly deep cleaning normally takes place the second Saturday of each month. However, because of all the activities involving the kitchen, the next cleanup will be February 18, at 8:30. Call Gloria Cahill at

if you have questions.

If you know of someone who is sick, has been sick or suffered a loss and would be blessed by receiving a prayer shawl,  contact Joyce Couch, 949-0396.

The shawls have been knitted or crocheted as prayers have been said for the recipients. Carol Tate is overseeing this part of the project. Contact her at 263-8489, if you would like to participate in this ministry.

If you like to sew, join the Itchin’ to Stitch group that meets the first, third and fifth Wednesdays of the month, at 11:00 a.m., in the Fellowship Hall. Their projects include making quilts, layettes, book bags and such for Lutheran World Relief and other sewing projects as they come to the attention of the group.

Crafters meet Mondays

9:30 a.m.– 2:00 p.m.
